Chairman in Perpetuity, Bend Your Knees, Inc. was incorporate October 31st, 2011 to carry out Collins’ wishes to “Give Back” to others. As his body grew weaker, his faith grew stronger and he showed us all how to FINISH STRONG! in his faith in Jesus Christ.
College and High School Outreach
FINISH STRONG Foundation Co-Founder, Ron is Collins’ older brother and co-founder of the FINISH STRONG Foundation that he started in loving memory of Collins. Ronnie and his fellow Cherokee High School student, Josh Thomas, wanted to make a difference in the community and started the FINISH STRONG! Foundation to raise awareness of pediatric brain tumors in schools and various community events. The sales of FINISH STRONG! tee shirts and apparel (our biggest selling items) have been donated to the Bend Your Knees Foundation to be used to help families in their time of need.

Richard became active with Collins’ foundation, Bend Your Knees, after witnessing firsthand the devastation pediatric brain tumors has on families, like Collins’, and the lack of help for families experiencing the same. Richard says, “When I had the ability to donate my time for such a worthy cause, I jumped at the opportunity to serve and have been giving my time to the foundation since its inception. It is our goal to be able to help families in need and FINISH STRONG!”
I am an honored BYK Board member. My cousin, Collins was an inspiration to me. He taught me a lot about life to always have faith, never give up and Finish Strong! He did! I want to live my life by helping others have Collin’s faith, courage & love to make a difference for families struggling with brain tumors. May God continue to help others and bless BYK Foundation.

Bob serves as President of Bend Your Knees, Inc. Robin serves as an Executive Vice President. Together they participate in various activities that carry out the mission of Collins’ foundation.
Amy Turcotte works in Cherokee County Juvenile Court. She has a husband and four children. Amy has been involved with youth sports, and that is where she began her service of encouraging and supporting Collins’ Journey. Amy is passionate about supporting Collins’ foundation, Bend Your Knees, and she believes God brought her the entire Dixon family as special friends to encourage and support in the fight to find a cure for childhood brain cancer. She would love you to join us in the mission of helping other families and children who are faced with childhood brain cancer!
BPO Operations Manager at Infosys McCamish in Atlanta, GA. Donna is also known as “Aunt Donna” to Collins, and serves as the Treasurer for the BYK Board. Donna was involved closely with Collins and his immediate family members in the beginning, during and in the end with his amazing fight against pediatric brain tumor. She has served on the board since the foundation began. It is Donna’s goal along with other BYK board members to “Giving Back to others and to Finish Strong” just like Collins did as he fought every single day the biggest battle ever as a child.
Jerry is owner of Candito Construction Company and serves as a director on BYK’s board helping provide guidance on various activities the foundation is involved with.
Doug is owner of Key’s Jewelry and serves as a director on BYK’s board helping provide guidance on various activities the foundation is involved with.
Sonny works in retirement investments for Infosys McCamish in Atlanta. He is one of Collins’ older brothers, and serves as the parliamentary officer for the BYK Board. He is a University of Alabama Alumni, and became involved with the charity after watching his brother battle his fight with a pediatric brain tumor. He has served on the board since the foundation began, and will continue to contribute his efforts.
